“I didn’t notice until last night that Longshot was readying his bow to put Jet out of his misery after he got injured in Lake Laogai. It makes his death the saddest.”

It wasn’t to kill Jet.

It was to kill anyone who came through the door to try and move them or Jet. Hence why he is facing the door.
